🌸Chinese New Year 2014🌸

30th January 22:15

Weets. It's New Years Eve and I'm still up typing this blog post (although I'm already yawning for the bed :P). Getting into bed soon, just gonna swallow some damn pills and yeah... No idea why but am pretty tired tonight, planning to rest early so that I can wake up tomorrow morning at 0500hrs cause I'm heading back to Malaysia tomorrow, sighs, what a burden!! I don't even know whether I'll get reliable WiFi there to post the whole post, if not, I think I'll just wait till I'm back in Singapore before I do. Anyways, here's a photo and I'm just gonna end the paragraph, nights~

31st January 16:30

Finally got a WiFi connection!! House is really crowded right now, too much carbon dioxide XD and guess what? Cute lil' nephew, August, came!! Much cute. Such August. So adorable.

And yup, I did receive quite a number of angbaos today. 今天的收获不错, can't wait for tomorrow! Awaiting for more angbaos :D

#OOTD YOOO.

1st February 10:07

今天大年初二了! Yay! Woke up pretty late this morning cause I was still really drowsy after having my medication last night and now I'm eating my breakfast alone :/

No proper breakfast in the morning, but I am pretty sure there would be a really sumptuous dinner at the end of the day, heheh(:

13:32

Hey! Look what I found in the refrigerator?

Jolly Shandy!! A drink you totally cannot miss during Chinese New Year, hahah! Wonderful.

3rd February 18:57

Back from Malaysia yesterday night!! Damn, jammed for an hour at the Highway from Muar to Larkin, I tried to sleep but couldn't really so I ended up only resting my eyes...

Reached home at around 12am and all I could think of is sleep but then I saw a packet of chicken wings dad bought home so I decided to satisfy my hunger first. And yup. That's all for my 3 days in Malaysia for Chinese New Year... 10 more day of New Year but I don't know where to go, hopefully I can visit some of my friends' houses and get more red packets 😂

  Oh, and lastly, a wish to all my fellow Chinese readers;

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! 新年快乐!^^

#HashtagCampSPRITE2014

Sup guys! Been quite awhile since I last updated my blog, been pretty sick lately after a camp arranged for the new Secondary Ones this year (AKA Camp SPRITE) two days ago. Super tiring, I wonder why I'm still alive :/

But anyways, really really happy to see the sec ones again, they're really adorable and at the same time, EXTREMELY naughty. They move like dying tortoises when you tell them to do something, I shout at them until I want to die sia. Camp was a really fun experience though, got to enjoy the aircon for a few minutes before camp in the Technology Room, had a briefing there but sadly, we had to leave to get the sec ones. Guess what? Bags were lighter than any camps I've been to since Sec1, or am I so used to carrying big, large, bulky and heavy camp bags that this is starting to feel light for me? Hahah!

After which, we got to rummage the sec 1s' bags in the hall, really funny though 😂, didn't know a guy brought Red Bull to camp, super ridiculous, I remembered during my batch, people brought chicken rice, I bet nothing's worse than that!! Took care of 1N2 and met quite a lot of my OG people, really glad to know them even better through this camp. Then, they were allocated to their respective classrooms to play quite a number of team-bonding games, sadly, we wasted so much time trying to settle the boys down, we only played a few games. I was so fed up I wanted to throw a tantrum at them but y'know, they're still young. Somemore, although we're used to people having a sense of urgency, we can't expect the Sec 1s to be VERY fast since they're still not used to Secondary School life, can't blame everything on them, they're still learning, it's not gonna be fair for them too.

I guess the most memorable times would most probably be Windsor's story-telling session in class, Apple Pie at night, lovely calls in the middle of the night with my dear sheep :*, the time where my friends and I tried to sing along with and talk back to Mdm Salenah, our Sec2 Level Head, indirectly, the wet activities where we got to get all the Sec 1s super duper wet and of course, the campfire^^

What really made me want to tear my eyes out is when you know how naughty they were on the first day; talking back at you, not heeding instructions given and being boisterous, and the next day they all tried their very best to stay obedient, especially during their camp fire performance preparation. The result of the dance was what moved me a lot (although I really didn't cry but y'know... *sobs*).

At the end of the camp, there'll always be campfire and that's what thrills everyone the most. I remembered how much I wanted the light stick last year during camp fires and guess what?! Finally got one!! Hahah! Extremely happy. Although I threw it away yesterday :/ Keeping it wouldn't be much of a use anyway since it's already "dead".

Yes, I know I look adorable and my house colour is the most noob-est of all four but I always tell my house-mates it's just the matter of time that we win the trophy for the year. We will some day. Ask me why I'm always so positive, I believe it's always good to make the best out of everything cause #YODO. Hahah!! Campfire was rather successful, my class' performance almost failed cause we weren't really prepared for the position of the performance, we always practised in a circle. Haixx, why did we even do that?
Luckily we managed to make it a success hahah! WE DIDNT LOSE FACE HORR. I guess my favourite performance would probably be the "Let It Go" song, joined in with their class to perform!! Hahah! Hashtag Betrayer :/ But even though, at the end of the day, camp fire is for us to have fun!! Am I not wrong?^^

Overall, it was a really fun experience as a facilitator, lost part of my voice and caught a real bad cold... But it's still worth it. Working with Shawn, Charlie, Qusyairi and Michelle never really been so good, yes, we got scolded by Charlie quite a few times cause we couldn't hear her (through the extreme crowd) but she's still quite kind, sometimes, my friends and I think whether she's on her period, she can be very crazy at times, scolding us now and being really funny to us the other but I think she's just doing what's good for us. There's always that Chinese saying; "打是疼,骂是爱。(Beating is a sign of affection and cursing is a sign of love)" we should always appreciate all the scolding and punishments we get in life, it's always good for us to learn (:

So yeah, looking forward to seeing the Sec1s grow in Bedok Green Secondary School, I have 3 more years here in BGSS and I really hope they will improve in their attitude and behavior. Strive to be a better person.

BACK 2 SCHOOL :D

Hey guys! Back with a new (fast) update cause it's a new school year and it's a NEW SCHOOL DAY!! Yay!! Finally got to meet my friends after such a long holiday like ugh. I guess my Secondary one life last year was really confusing but rather enjoyable 'cause of all the new stuff, events and activities (especially the whole shit load of camps hahah!) Of course I will never forget all the ups and downs I had last year, spent whether with my family or friends, too memorable! The most memorable one would probably be chasing seniors, who my friends and I are completely unknown of, around the school and Monkey visiting the Ladies, totally unforgettable. xD Yes, it's a new year for me and my loved ones (for you too!), all of us have our New Year's resolutions deep inside our heart that we have to accomplish this year, hopefully everyone will achieve theirs at the end of the year!! May the odds be ever in your favor~

So ANYWAYS, got to meet the new batch of Secondary Ones today!! They're much more taller than expected, sighs, why are people getting taller and taller, starting to feel really short despite being 5'4"... But nevermind, it doesn't really matter with their looks! As long as they're still young inside, they're still young... Okay, what am I talking about. Still, yeah. Now that I've become an Orientation Group Leader (OGL), I finally got to understand how difficult it was for the Sec2s last year (Sec3s this year FYI.) to care for us when we were still shy and less outspoken. Their patience really deserves our appreciation. *claps*

Today was a really tiring but fun day spent with the Sec1s, it was really difficult at first, but the progress they made really "touched" us, OGLs. They started off really quiet and didn't dared to speak up, now that they've made new friends, I really hope they'll stay like this forever. It'll be really sad to leave their only friends in school for another large group of people who they don't know at all once they know their respective classes. Every student in school has experienced it before and I was really upset at first, but now that I've met my wonderful classmates, I realised that they are also some of the people that I can rely on in tough times. *sobs* hahah! But they're gonna have a camp pretty soon after their class allocation to bond them up!! Which means we OGLs will get to meet them again after their OG days, YAY!! (:

As I said, it was kind of tiring and on top of that, we actually only have like 20min of recess all thanks to our really adorable but disobedient juniors who are happily playing team bonding games and enjoying their lives. However, I'm really happy that they are enjoying the games the organizing committee have arranged for them 'cause this will be the only period of time where they can actually play and be completely stress-less. Really hope they can cope and get used to their Secondary School life for their next few years here though. We still have one whole week with them before we greet them farewell so of course we, as councillors, should help the teachers shape their characters and behaviors up alittle even before they officially start their classes, that's why we should spend more time with them talking about things like that!!

I really hope they won't go all quiet again tomorrow. I WILL CRY. It's good to be energetic in the morning though! (: hoping they will remember us even after their OG days. Much appreciated. Hahah!
