BGSS NDP 2014: プライド

Time flies so fast and it's already July, and guess what? There's finally a chance for me to experience doing drills with the other Uniform Groups in school, WE ARE FINALLY PARTICIPATING IN OUR SCHOOL'S NATIONAL DAY PARADE!!

I honestly hope that it will give my squadmates and I a fruitful experience bonding with NCC and SJAB, despite not communicating much because of class and CCA differences, I hope to understand the other cadets better through this wonderful event.

Sadly, all we've been doing today were just drills like sedia, senang diri, ke dalam lurus and kanan/kiri belok. It was really boring and tiring, all the cadet leaders were basically trying to coordinate all of us, however, there was a great difficulty, mainly because all of us are from different UGs and trying to combine 3 different habits and culture is never easy. But no matter what, I am sure at the end of the day, all our hardwork is gonna pay off (:

In addition to our first NDP training, my squadmates and I were also taught new drills! It's been forever since we heard about rifle drills and we finally got to learn it!! Was taught Rusok Senjata and the whole squad got the basics within a few minutes. Super proud of my squad, I hope we'll continue it like this xD

Back to NDP, I can't wait for it, to celebrate Singapore's 49th birthday and also to be thankful how Singapore have been progressing through out the years to give us such education and healthcare. Although Singapore also has many imperfections just like humans, this is where I have been spending my life till now and so there is nothing bad about being proud of it, even though the parade is going to be just a few minutes (:

Also, not forgetting our Secondary 4 seniors, our "lovely" Staff Sergeants, today's your last day in BGNP already. Yes, we will miss you all but I would like to let you all know that, even though you guys may not always be physically here with us, the tracks you've left behind will always be here in BGNP, where your juniors will follow your footsteps to success. Honestly, all of you have inspired us on how to be a good leader and how to lead the whole unit as one (including Batch X). You all have helped us a lot not only in CCA but also academically, thank you so much. You guys should be happy you stepped down without any regrets and even if you do have any, leave it all behind and it's time to move on, focus on Os and Ns, score for it and make your family and friends proud.

It was unlucky how the Passing Out Parade clashed with the NDP training, if not for it, leaving the unit could have been better and more memorable for you guys. I really hope you liked my squad's impromptu performance (as well as the Sec1s') on this special day and would like to apologize that we could not pass you your POP gifts today because of how unexpected it was but it's okay, it's not like you'll never get your gifts. HAHAH. All the best for your GCE Os and Ns!! Hope to see you all visit us sometime even after stepping down! ^^

Summer Break!!

Heyyo. It's finally the June Holidays and I guess everyone should be enjoying their free time shopping, watching movies, flying abroad, and all those things that seem like some fun crap, while I'm here trying to complete my fucking holiday homework, which my teachers thought might be very educational for us (--- very educational, indeed), and also help out with house chores ==. Holidays' more like a cleaning season for me aye. Good life lorhz, all of you out there •A• but also, for those who have the same boring and simple holiday life like me, good luck. Hahah! People on the same boat tend to understand one another better lol, am I not wrong?

Holidays aren't really as un-fun for me actually, but guess what, I finally had the time to catch up with gaming, hahah! Only reason was because my mid-year examinations have actually taken lots of my time during the end of the previous semester, all I did was studying and studying, I hardly have any time to check out the trends on the internet or even catch the newest stuff around town. However, it ends up that, my hardwork was not wasted!! Though I ALMOST got straight As, I wasn't really satisfied with my results, partially because of the worst careless mistakes I've made in my lifetime, could have gotten top for Mathematics if not for them sia... But sighs, it's already over, guess I can't really complain about it cause it's not like I can ever change my results :/

Not trying to show off but SEE, so sui. TT-TT

My parents always tell me that results aren't really everything (thank god my parents not those die die want scholar child one) and I should really stop thinking about it too seriously but hey, as an only-child, I would also want to achieve better results, get into a better polytechnic (not planning to go JC orhz) and University so that I can have better impact on my future interviewer, have a better job and not only provide support for my own family but also my parents who will turn super old in the future. #filialchild

Okay, back to my holidays, obviously every gamer knows League of Legends (LoL), RIGHTTT? Hahah! So for the past year (or more?) I wasn't actually very interested in the somehow new game Garena have given us until my close friends started playing it almost every single day and it kinda influenced me, so I'm just like "why not?", the next day I basically went to download the game and thought it was actually quite easy for me to learn how to play it because LoL is actually a kind of game similar to World of Warcraft (WoW), in which I actually forgot the term, and I played WoW ever since I was like, what, 5? Hahah! Experienced gamer here okay? Actually not really lah, not here to kpkb anyways.

  In case any of you wants to add me;

Garena: xxMustachexx
BS: xxMustachexx
LoL: daphne_chen

I only play two games because my laptop memory cmi, so yeah :D

-----------------------------------------------

And you know what's the worst thing? I'm having high fever and nausea now and I'm feeling so sad because I can't go for my Police Knowledge 2 course!! TT-TT hopefully I'll get my badge, I would CRY if I don't uhuhu. Obviously I can't control my illness so at least let me get my badge...

But guess what? Something even more disturbing is how someone is purposely making you feel super bad when he is pushing all the freaking blame to you because you left without a reason, like wth? What the hell do you want now? Get a life lol. Why keep looking back when you still have a better future ahead, move on lah, sucker. And if you're reading this right now, stop spamming my best friends, no one wants to be the middle person and neither do you so you know what? GTFO of our lives, no one needs you. _|_

PS. For those who can't take my rants, my suggestion is that you go away cause this is my blog and I can post anything I want, no rights for you to judge.

NPAP 2014

Probably the best one-in-a-million experience I've ever had together with my fellow NPCC squadmates. I mean, you don't always run in the rain, getting drenched early in the cold morning, or get to meet one another's new/old friends from other schools, or, just probably going through the parade, standing there for what may seem like years with your squadmates, bearing consequences together and still laugh about it during the punishment.

It's not anytime that we get to actually march in NPAP (well, unless you're a cadet officer) so obviously we should spend our time here worthwhile. Today's the actual parade already!! All of us are like super excited and nervous! Can't wait to be down at the unity square and prove to everyone, including ourselves, that we can and will do our very best in it.

I remembered before we came for NPAP, we had the mindset that the officers here are gonna torture us really badly and the trainings are gonna be very tiring (it's kinda true, but not as expected) and shit but guess what? Not only did we get to bond with our squadmates but also got to bond with the whole supporting contingent together as one!! This is really the best event I've ever been to through my journey in NPCC till now...

Currently getting a 4-hour break before the actual parade. Quite tired and nervous but still, really happy I chose to join this parade. I can't really bear to leave the contingent after today TT-TT Let's just hope we get to meet one another again next time when we go for ATC or maybe even after we get promoted to Cadet Inspectors!!

(≧∇≦)

So I was browsing Sword Art Online's Facebook page last week and look what I found!! OMG like finally sia, I can't wait for SAO II!! It's gonna air in July this year (still got so long T-T), I'm sure it's worth the wait^^

So yeah, although I just finished the first season like last month, I know it's really late but I just don't have time to watch it in 2012 okay? I've got this big exam then and I think NO ONE had time to watch anime. (Sadly I didn't do as well for the exam...)

BUT ANYWAY. Yup. If you're an otaku out there reading my blog, be sure to look forward to the new season of Sword Art Online! Lol. In school right now, have to go. Maybe I should just stop right here :P

  KBYE.

[28/02/14] EWAH EWAH EWAH!

Been quite awhile since the last post I guess? Hahah!! Had lotsa fun during Sports Day today and was really tiring when I reached home. Ugh. Gonna share a short post and I'm just going to go rest for the day.

Been really busy with the Topaz cheer lately with my fellow Topaz cheerleaders and guess what? Our month's hardwork paid off and we got Second for it 3 years in a row! (Bingo.) well, we didn't beat Emerald's cheer but at least we tried our best. We should add some "foreign" songs into our cheer next time xD it's not that we want to "copy" them but hey, it's for the medals, why not? I honestly believe that Topaz has the ability to dance and cheer better than them!! >< but, yeah, no hate! Their performance was incredible (and sexy) so it was really a big step ahead for those who are shy at heart...☺️ GAMBATE GAMBATE GAMBATE HO!!

Our house again got forth for overall but no matter what, we're still from the same school, and we're all friends. What's the point? Hahah! It was just a game.

So once again, congratulations to all the houses and continue the good work!! (:

🌸Chinese New Year 2014🌸

30th January 22:15

Weets. It's New Years Eve and I'm still up typing this blog post (although I'm already yawning for the bed :P). Getting into bed soon, just gonna swallow some damn pills and yeah... No idea why but am pretty tired tonight, planning to rest early so that I can wake up tomorrow morning at 0500hrs cause I'm heading back to Malaysia tomorrow, sighs, what a burden!! I don't even know whether I'll get reliable WiFi there to post the whole post, if not, I think I'll just wait till I'm back in Singapore before I do. Anyways, here's a photo and I'm just gonna end the paragraph, nights~

31st January 16:30

Finally got a WiFi connection!! House is really crowded right now, too much carbon dioxide XD and guess what? Cute lil' nephew, August, came!! Much cute. Such August. So adorable.

And yup, I did receive quite a number of angbaos today. 今天的收获不错, can't wait for tomorrow! Awaiting for more angbaos :D

#OOTD YOOO.

1st February 10:07

今天大年初二了! Yay! Woke up pretty late this morning cause I was still really drowsy after having my medication last night and now I'm eating my breakfast alone :/

No proper breakfast in the morning, but I am pretty sure there would be a really sumptuous dinner at the end of the day, heheh(:

13:32

Hey! Look what I found in the refrigerator?

Jolly Shandy!! A drink you totally cannot miss during Chinese New Year, hahah! Wonderful.

3rd February 18:57

Back from Malaysia yesterday night!! Damn, jammed for an hour at the Highway from Muar to Larkin, I tried to sleep but couldn't really so I ended up only resting my eyes...

Reached home at around 12am and all I could think of is sleep but then I saw a packet of chicken wings dad bought home so I decided to satisfy my hunger first. And yup. That's all for my 3 days in Malaysia for Chinese New Year... 10 more day of New Year but I don't know where to go, hopefully I can visit some of my friends' houses and get more red packets 😂

  Oh, and lastly, a wish to all my fellow Chinese readers;

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! 新年快乐!^^

#HashtagCampSPRITE2014

Sup guys! Been quite awhile since I last updated my blog, been pretty sick lately after a camp arranged for the new Secondary Ones this year (AKA Camp SPRITE) two days ago. Super tiring, I wonder why I'm still alive :/

But anyways, really really happy to see the sec ones again, they're really adorable and at the same time, EXTREMELY naughty. They move like dying tortoises when you tell them to do something, I shout at them until I want to die sia. Camp was a really fun experience though, got to enjoy the aircon for a few minutes before camp in the Technology Room, had a briefing there but sadly, we had to leave to get the sec ones. Guess what? Bags were lighter than any camps I've been to since Sec1, or am I so used to carrying big, large, bulky and heavy camp bags that this is starting to feel light for me? Hahah!

After which, we got to rummage the sec 1s' bags in the hall, really funny though 😂, didn't know a guy brought Red Bull to camp, super ridiculous, I remembered during my batch, people brought chicken rice, I bet nothing's worse than that!! Took care of 1N2 and met quite a lot of my OG people, really glad to know them even better through this camp. Then, they were allocated to their respective classrooms to play quite a number of team-bonding games, sadly, we wasted so much time trying to settle the boys down, we only played a few games. I was so fed up I wanted to throw a tantrum at them but y'know, they're still young. Somemore, although we're used to people having a sense of urgency, we can't expect the Sec 1s to be VERY fast since they're still not used to Secondary School life, can't blame everything on them, they're still learning, it's not gonna be fair for them too.

I guess the most memorable times would most probably be Windsor's story-telling session in class, Apple Pie at night, lovely calls in the middle of the night with my dear sheep :*, the time where my friends and I tried to sing along with and talk back to Mdm Salenah, our Sec2 Level Head, indirectly, the wet activities where we got to get all the Sec 1s super duper wet and of course, the campfire^^

What really made me want to tear my eyes out is when you know how naughty they were on the first day; talking back at you, not heeding instructions given and being boisterous, and the next day they all tried their very best to stay obedient, especially during their camp fire performance preparation. The result of the dance was what moved me a lot (although I really didn't cry but y'know... *sobs*).

At the end of the camp, there'll always be campfire and that's what thrills everyone the most. I remembered how much I wanted the light stick last year during camp fires and guess what?! Finally got one!! Hahah! Extremely happy. Although I threw it away yesterday :/ Keeping it wouldn't be much of a use anyway since it's already "dead".

Yes, I know I look adorable and my house colour is the most noob-est of all four but I always tell my house-mates it's just the matter of time that we win the trophy for the year. We will some day. Ask me why I'm always so positive, I believe it's always good to make the best out of everything cause #YODO. Hahah!! Campfire was rather successful, my class' performance almost failed cause we weren't really prepared for the position of the performance, we always practised in a circle. Haixx, why did we even do that?
Luckily we managed to make it a success hahah! WE DIDNT LOSE FACE HORR. I guess my favourite performance would probably be the "Let It Go" song, joined in with their class to perform!! Hahah! Hashtag Betrayer :/ But even though, at the end of the day, camp fire is for us to have fun!! Am I not wrong?^^

Overall, it was a really fun experience as a facilitator, lost part of my voice and caught a real bad cold... But it's still worth it. Working with Shawn, Charlie, Qusyairi and Michelle never really been so good, yes, we got scolded by Charlie quite a few times cause we couldn't hear her (through the extreme crowd) but she's still quite kind, sometimes, my friends and I think whether she's on her period, she can be very crazy at times, scolding us now and being really funny to us the other but I think she's just doing what's good for us. There's always that Chinese saying; "打是疼,骂是爱。(Beating is a sign of affection and cursing is a sign of love)" we should always appreciate all the scolding and punishments we get in life, it's always good for us to learn (:

So yeah, looking forward to seeing the Sec1s grow in Bedok Green Secondary School, I have 3 more years here in BGSS and I really hope they will improve in their attitude and behavior. Strive to be a better person.

Thursday 2 January 2014

BACK 2 SCHOOL :D

Hey guys! Back with a new (fast) update cause it's a new school year and it's a NEW SCHOOL DAY!! Yay!! Finally got to meet my friends after such a long holiday like ugh. I guess my Secondary one life last year was really confusing but rather enjoyable 'cause of all the new stuff, events and activities (especially the whole shit load of camps hahah!) Of course I will never forget all the ups and downs I had last year, spent whether with my family or friends, too memorable! The most memorable one would probably be chasing seniors, who my friends and I are completely unknown of, around the school and Monkey visiting the Ladies, totally unforgettable. xD Yes, it's a new year for me and my loved ones (for you too!), all of us have our New Year's resolutions deep inside our heart that we have to accomplish this year, hopefully everyone will achieve theirs at the end of the year!! May the odds be ever in your favor~

So ANYWAYS, got to meet the new batch of Secondary Ones today!! They're much more taller than expected, sighs, why are people getting taller and taller, starting to feel really short despite being 5'4"... But nevermind, it doesn't really matter with their looks! As long as they're still young inside, they're still young... Okay, what am I talking about. Still, yeah. Now that I've become an Orientation Group Leader (OGL), I finally got to understand how difficult it was for the Sec2s last year (Sec3s this year FYI.) to care for us when we were still shy and less outspoken. Their patience really deserves our appreciation. *claps*

Today was a really tiring but fun day spent with the Sec1s, it was really difficult at first, but the progress they made really "touched" us, OGLs. They started off really quiet and didn't dared to speak up, now that they've made new friends, I really hope they'll stay like this forever. It'll be really sad to leave their only friends in school for another large group of people who they don't know at all once they know their respective classes. Every student in school has experienced it before and I was really upset at first, but now that I've met my wonderful classmates, I realised that they are also some of the people that I can rely on in tough times. *sobs* hahah! But they're gonna have a camp pretty soon after their class allocation to bond them up!! Which means we OGLs will get to meet them again after their OG days, YAY!! (:

As I said, it was kind of tiring and on top of that, we actually only have like 20min of recess all thanks to our really adorable but disobedient juniors who are happily playing team bonding games and enjoying their lives. However, I'm really happy that they are enjoying the games the organizing committee have arranged for them 'cause this will be the only period of time where they can actually play and be completely stress-less. Really hope they can cope and get used to their Secondary School life for their next few years here though. We still have one whole week with them before we greet them farewell so of course we, as councillors, should help the teachers shape their characters and behaviors up alittle even before they officially start their classes, that's why we should spend more time with them talking about things like that!!

I really hope they won't go all quiet again tomorrow. I WILL CRY. It's good to be energetic in the morning though! (: hoping they will remember us even after their OG days. Much appreciated. Hahah!
