But anyways, really really happy to see the sec ones again, they're really adorable and at the same time, EXTREMELY naughty. They move like dying tortoises when you tell them to do something, I shout at them until I want to die sia. Camp was a really fun experience though, got to enjoy the aircon for a few minutes before camp in the Technology Room, had a briefing there but sadly, we had to leave to get the sec ones. Guess what? Bags were lighter than any camps I've been to since Sec1, or am I so used to carrying big, large, bulky and heavy camp bags that this is starting to feel light for me? Hahah!
After which, we got to rummage the sec 1s' bags in the hall, really funny though 😂, didn't know a guy brought Red Bull to camp, super ridiculous, I remembered during my batch, people brought chicken rice, I bet nothing's worse than that!! Took care of 1N2 and met quite a lot of my OG people, really glad to know them even better through this camp. Then, they were allocated to their respective classrooms to play quite a number of team-bonding games, sadly, we wasted so much time trying to settle the boys down, we only played a few games. I was so fed up I wanted to throw a tantrum at them but y'know, they're still young. Somemore, although we're used to people having a sense of urgency, we can't expect the Sec 1s to be VERY fast since they're still not used to Secondary School life, can't blame everything on them, they're still learning, it's not gonna be fair for them too.
I guess the most memorable times would most probably be Windsor's story-telling session in class, Apple Pie at night, lovely calls in the middle of the night with my dear sheep :*, the time where my friends and I tried to sing along with and talk back to Mdm Salenah, our Sec2 Level Head, indirectly, the wet activities where we got to get all the Sec 1s super duper wet and of course, the campfire^^
What really made me want to tear my eyes out is when you know how naughty they were on the first day; talking back at you, not heeding instructions given and being boisterous, and the next day they all tried their very best to stay obedient, especially during their camp fire performance preparation. The result of the dance was what moved me a lot (although I really didn't cry but y'know... *sobs*).
At the end of the camp, there'll always be campfire and that's what thrills everyone the most. I remembered how much I wanted the light stick last year during camp fires and guess what?! Finally got one!! Hahah! Extremely happy. Although I threw it away yesterday :/ Keeping it wouldn't be much of a use anyway since it's already "dead".
Yes, I know I look adorable and my house colour is the most noob-est of all four but I always tell my house-mates it's just the matter of time that we win the trophy for the year. We will some day. Ask me why I'm always so positive, I believe it's always good to make the best out of everything cause #YODO. Hahah!! Campfire was rather successful, my class' performance almost failed cause we weren't really prepared for the position of the performance, we always practised in a circle. Haixx, why did we even do that?
Luckily we managed to make it a success hahah! WE DIDNT LOSE FACE HORR. I guess my favourite performance would probably be the "Let It Go" song, joined in with their class to perform!! Hahah! Hashtag Betrayer :/ But even though, at the end of the day, camp fire is for us to have fun!! Am I not wrong?^^
Overall, it was a really fun experience as a facilitator, lost part of my voice and caught a real bad cold... But it's still worth it. Working with Shawn, Charlie, Qusyairi and Michelle never really been so good, yes, we got scolded by Charlie quite a few times cause we couldn't hear her (through the extreme crowd) but she's still quite kind, sometimes, my friends and I think whether she's on her period, she can be very crazy at times, scolding us now and being really funny to us the other but I think she's just doing what's good for us. There's always that Chinese saying; "打是疼,骂是爱。(Beating is a sign of affection and cursing is a sign of love)" we should always appreciate all the scolding and punishments we get in life, it's always good for us to learn (:
So yeah, looking forward to seeing the Sec1s grow in Bedok Green Secondary School, I have 3 more years here in BGSS and I really hope they will improve in their attitude and behavior. Strive to be a better person.
